This is how y’all expect the Giannis trade to go down

  1. Is it? Warriors picks are some of the most valuable in the league assuming Steph retires in the next two seasons, and most fans from what I’ve see seem to be on board with trading them all away to give him one last chance at a ring. This isn’t going to be a fleece situation and thinking otherwise is foolish.

  2. it would be hilarious if Giannis gets traded gets an MRI and his calf is in pristine condition.

  3. Na, it’s as simple as he wants to leave. So the Bucks will move him. He has 1 full season left on the contract and than a player option. They don’t have much leverage. Can match the contract basically in whole with Butler and add in some pieces that can help them in the future. ā€œWhy would they want Butler?!ā€ They wouldn’t, but he also only has a year left and then the Bucks will have a nice chunk of change when they are ready to compete again.

People are acting as if he is contracted for 5 more years.

  4. The Bucks will probably not trade him to an EC team. If part of the package entices them enough, why not. Uncooked pasta, nobody wants. Cooked pasta with amazing sauces, everybody wants.

  5. The conservative spaghetti-heavy portfolio pays off for the hungry investor!

  6. The delusion here is ridicoulous. No wonder the warriors fan base is called a joke sometimes.

  7. Fuck the future, fuck my kids who will grow up watching 20 win warrior seasons like I did, I want it I want it I want it… Bounce pass alley oops all day!!!

  8. They can have anyone but Will Richard. He’s a winner and we have that rookie contract value.

  9. Gianni’s, out with ā€œcalf strainā€, which means he’s 1 injury from ACL. This would fit right in with the warriors pattern of making the absolute worst trades in history.

  10. It’s the picks bruh, the most valuable part of ANY trade the Bucks will execute will be the picks.

And the Warriors have the best picks.

  11. In a post apocalyptic world this would be an unfair trade in the other direction lol

  12. trying to be funny huh? 2030s pick when steph is retired because just look at us even when Steph is playing with these connectors. Jimmy expiring contract for cap space then kuminga with a flexible contract and a chance for Bucks to gauge his potential…

  13. Giannis is 31 yrs old with a quiet list of injuries. He played 73 games 2 seasons ago but has played 67 games or below the last 7 years. His game relies heavily on his athleticism. If we’re trading picks and swaps 7 years out, you’re damn right years 5-7 will be super valuable.

Giannis+Kuzma …for… Jimmy+JK+Podz+3 1sts+3 Swaps (WAS owns a 2030 lottery protected pick that turns into 2nd Rounders if not conveyed)

Jimmy is just to match salaries (he’ll be expiring next season and will help the Bucks tank this season because they have their swapped pick). Kuminga is a flyer for the Bucks and they get to unload Kuzma. Despite the hate on this sub, Podz is a good young player on a rookie deal (cherry on top)

  14. The Butler injury hurts any trade possibility for the Warriors. You have to trade dollar for dollar in the NBA and Giannis makes the max contract. Bucks need equal money coming back to them, that would be over half the team to match the contract.

  15. I think the Bucks would be reluctant, but the best shot for the Bucks to get high-end picks is from us.

Steph is 38 years old and who knows where Giannis will be in three years when those 2028, 2030, 2032 picks would come. We also have pick swaps to offer in between each year.

Not to mention a roster full of young players who you can throw at the Bucks and see who sticks. It’s….. really not that ludicrous.

So far what I’ve heard is the Heat can only offer 2 FRP, Knicks basically have none to offer after Mikal trade, Spurs are out. Would be interesting to see what happens over the course of the week!
