2. He played harder and better than I’ve seen him play for almost his entire Devils tenure tonight. Good riddance.
Fitz will try to get him back at the deadline and extend him.(honestly, I’m glad he had a good game. It didn’t work out here. Good luck Mr palat.)
Good for Palat. I wish we could’ve seen the version of the guy last night play like that regularly for us, but it never worked out. I do think the Islanders have a much better supporting cast for his particular skillset in their top 6 compared to ours.
It’s one game but he’s been freed from the NJ losers retirement home. Our stars suck and are incapable of winning because they are soft and lack character. We need a bonafide Devils GM like Brendan Shanahan to vet our pussilanimous lineup and rid ourselves of anyone who lacks a winning mindset.
Don’t care what Palat does now that he is no longer a Devil. He had literally one good goal for us too and it was in the playoffs against the Rangers.
It was a fun game to watch and made me a little wistful for better days. Maybe the Isles’s mindset is less “give the puck to the fragile hotshot who falls short” and more “shoot it if you got it.”
Palat’s NMC wasn’t because he didn’t want to play for another team, he just wanted to stay in Rangers killing range

So maybe Keefe’s system is the problem and not Palat?
