  2. What are your guys’ thoughts on his contract extension situation now that he’s had back to back seasons with significant injuries?

    Do you think they should give him a shorter term deal?

    Or a long term deal with less AAV?

  4. Really wish there was another year on his current deal. Last year was unfortunate timing for his injury, given how injury riddled this team has been this year I’m not gonna knock him for it. Ideally I’d like long term extension but if something happens next year with injury there’ll be a different discussion

  9. Offer three, accept four. The real question is the AAV. No idea how a guy with brief windows of incredible hockey is valued. On the raw numbers, he’s a 0.5 points/game guy. I think we all think he’s really a point/game player. The question is whether he gets paid based on his potential or his actual production.

  10. Keep him out, depress his value for re-signing, cut bait on this season, get a top-2 pick
