Sell the team. I’ll just play MLB the Show and pretend I’m the new owner, cause somehow I can do a better job even though I’ve only got a GED and a minor head injury even? The seasons they don’t make the playoffs they still have a winning record or few losing ones that are genuinely rebuilding years (or me getting used to/trying new things)…

I project Zips is wrong. They won 71 games last year with Shelton sabotaging April and May and Exxon Valdez at 1st base and the ghost of Adam Frazier at 2nd. They’re going to finish around .500 at 81 wins in all reality.
Thankfully these don’t actually decide the standings regardless of how badly people wish they did
I just don’t agree with this. I know i sound like i am drinking the pirates kool-aid but they have had a decent off-season which could be great if they grab suarez (which i actual am feeling 50/50 could happen). With bats added and good chance IMO konnor griffin comes up this season it just looks like more than 3 wins difference. I also don’t think Reynolds will have the same year and have more production. I just think team is way closer to .500 at worst i am going to say now i see 85 wins. The pirates had 33 one loss games last year. I think with the changes they have made they definitely don’t have that many one game losses with this lineup.
No. Just, no. This team is much better. I don’t know about getting into the playoffs, but I am confident we are looking at around 84-85 wins at minimum.
I think that it’s probably a good projection, but, until the games are played, it’s just an educated guess.
Last year, ZIPS hit 3/5 NL Central projections on the nose, and missed on the top and bottom (Brewers were +14 & Pirates were +5), so they are pretty good, but there are still moves to be made and every team is going to go through some injuries.
That’s set to perfection. Will be another sub .500 year, Skenes will not have a winning record again. You’re all going to feel like suckers again. Same as it ever was with this owner.

Yeah that’s about right. I was thinking 75 myself – 80 if we go crazy.
