I really like how he’s embraced being an Islander. Like how he’s embraced and taken in the teams identity,
It’s culture and its history and makes it part of his personality. I kinda wonder what his take on the Isles’ was before being drafted for them since you never know who is going to call your name at the podium. I guess sometimes the jersey and logo aren’t really removed from the man when sixty minutes are up.
This is what I like seeing really, they understand and embrace the fandom around the team as well. Crosby and Ovechkin did this for their teams respectively, Schaefer is doing that here. He’s a rookie but he possesses a veteran spirit.
This is great…..however……we better get someone to protect him. Even just a few years ago a ranger would check him into the 5th row if he said that.
