This is one of my pet peeves of this era of sports: here I am in Seattle, supposedly supposed to root for a team at a stadium that in my heart is still Safeco Field, but everyone suddenly is calling T-Mobile Park. Ok, so T-Mobile Park is *our territory*. Great. Now here you are, deep in enemy territory, about to attend a game at T-Mobile Arena. Maybe I’m weird, but I find this dissonant.
This is worse for Canadians, where every arena is Rogers this and Scotiabank that.
I’m heading there right now 🙂 let’s go, Kraken!
I haven’t been tracking our games the past few days being at sea but I think I saw a really good omen last night: caught the last bit of Con Air, when the plane crashes on the Strip and there’s action and violence and Triumphant Victory.
Fuck yeah!!
