  1. If hypothetical Giants make the SB, what would their walkout song be? 42 was Stronger by Kanye and 46 was Written In The Stars. Both songs were in the charts during the game.

  2. Should’ve been “Baaallliiiin” but got goosebumps either way. Look at all those leaders and pro bowlers in that locker room + coach Coughlin, Spags and Gilbride. That’s why I laughed when people were referencing this when Giants started 0-2 in what feels like 8 years already

  3. Road Fucking Warriors
Playing as the away team in the Super Bowl was just what the team needed.

  4. “We started 0-2” oh man, what I wouldn’t do for that to be peak disappointment to a season. Now it’s we started “2-8” lol

  5. Hopefully the team is turning the corner but even if they are never good again, experiencing this was worth a lifetime of fandom. No other team has a season quite like this.

  6. You couldn’t write a better story than this Super Bowl.

People suspected it would be closed based on their last meeting, which was a shoot out. We were expecting more of the same, but the defense for both teams really stepped it up.

Which says something about the Giants defense at the time. That they were able to hold the Patriots to 14 points when their offense seemed unstoppable. The lowest score the Patriots had all year that year.

And then you had the miracle moment. When all seemed lost, Eli Manning somehow escapes being sacked after being surrounded by Patriots defensemen, then just lobs it into the air, somehow finding David Tyree, who not only had to press the ball against his helmet, but had to fight off another defender just to make sure he could keep it secure.

Thanks to them winning, this is the kind of play that turns a heroic moment into a legendary moment.

  7. I’m sorry, but I find it hilarious to see Eli looking *intense*, with harsh *dramatic* lighting, trying to talk tough. Don’t get me wrong, I know he’s one of the toughest QBs in the history of the league, but he looks and talks like the lovable goofball from the Big Easy that he is. So having him act this way in this video just sent me. 🤣

  8. I remember it was so cold in the city that day. Lots of snow on the ground like now. I believed they could do it and was super anxious the night before and started drinking…heavily. Knew no distracting super bowl parties for me that year, so slept late. Like 5 PM after drinking til almost dawn. Ran out for a pizza, a case of beer and watched the game with my brother. One of my best sports memories ever.
