I will 100% take it. It is pretty much irrefutable at this point that they have improved this roster. We’ll see how good they play together. Not expecting playoffs but I am starting to get excited to see how this goes.
Despite being so cheap, I think winning the division is quite possible.I know what I hate ,and I don’t hate any of the moves they made
love it. Chris Getz is very much a competent GM.
Meh. I don’t like blocking the kids from getting more ABs. Shuffling Benintendi, Quero and Teel got harder
Wish he wasn’t a homophobe but on the field it’s probably the best we can do at the moment.
At this point I will take it. He might not be an exciting name but having an mlb level outfielder heading into a mlb season matters. Considering what was left in FA, I like it
It’s fine. They needed at least one OF and Hays is probably the best remaining. It’s not like he’s blocking a prospect.
As long as rebuilding is considered acceptable MLB is not worth watching
I like it .. fills a gap, seems a good guy and will help younger players
I wonder if in my lifetime if I’ll ever see a big name free agent in the Sox lineup?
It’s a good move to fill a space in outfield since Luis Roberts got traded, and until we can call up Braden Montgomery. If he does well, we’ll probably trade him at the break.
I know I’m always going off the deep end , but I’m usually been negative about what king Jerry does , but this team will have teeth, they will bite and not go down easily. I know winning the division is long shot , but what’s the competition? A team that fights and hangs in there can make anything happen.
Some other teams sign good players sometimes

I like it. Solid guy…gamer
Yes I remember Albert belle but that’s was a long time ago
1996?
Its a solid player, solid numbers. Can’t ask for more right now. This year still a sorting it all out year so his contract makes sense.
He’s certainly one of the baseball players of all time
Baseball Reference shows a similar player as Nomar Mazara – I recall him being a savior for our outfield previously. Some things never change…
I really like it! Let’s see what he can do, he fits a need and it’s a one-year deal. He’s a proven player.
You get what you pay for
I was waiting for Reinsdorf’s signature Ellis Burke “Lightening in a Bottle” signing.
He didn’t disappoint.
Every since he got lucky with Ellis, there’s been no stopping him from trying to replicate.
2005 was different.
He did the Mambo that year and got career years out of the entire roster.
And neither his Sox or Bulls have come remotely close to sniffing a ring since.

Love it.
Meh. It’s fine. What else were they gonna do? Sign Kyle Tucker or Cody bellinger like a real franchise?
I like this move for the Sox. He’s not a game changer but solid if he can stay healthy.
Well, I don’t think they will lose 100 games this year. I’ll credit them for that.
Pointless bridge player who will be gone by the deadline for a player who never makes the team, if he performs even average.
Slightly above what I was kinda expecting. I’m good with this, did they overpay, lol?
I’m still waiting on more details to come out but I don’t think it’s a “meh” deal like people make it out to be.
His defense needs to improve, and I’d love to see him in the outfield everyday…but he has had some injuries so we shall see about that.
But look at his [baseball reference](https://www.baseball-reference.com/players/h/haysau01.shtml) page. Not bad, not amazing. Just solid imo
