The Washington Commanders should have about $51 million in cap space for 2026 free agency before any roster moves are made

  1. Weird I’ve seen that reported much higher. Does that include what we rolled over from last years cap?

  2. Where is all our money? we have a decent o line and…. Terry? Where else is it tied up?

  3. Having the cap and having the revenue to spend it are 2 different things. Hopefully Harris loosens the purse strings this year, but there’s been a suspicion the teams not as liquid as many think. If they don’t spend this year…

  4. Yeah this article is just flat out wrong. Both spottrac and OTC both already have the 12.4 million for Deebo already accounted for in their cap projections for this year.

Also the 18.5 million for Lattimore might as well just be added now. I know the title gives the qualifier “before any roster moves are made” but lattimore was never going to be kept at that number after his performance the last 2 years and his arrest just solidified that.

  5. They had money last year and did jack shit, why would be more inclined to use the money this year?!

  6. I would like them to blow it on high profile talent and it is tempting but we have to avoid going down the Dan Snyder rabbit hole.

Team has serious depth issues. Need to plug in a lot of holes.

  7. Better than how it was when Synder was in charge. Multiple times over the cap. We will need space if Jayden’s 2026 season was like his 2024.

  8. Get Devin Lloyd, Alec Pierce and Isiah Likely in free agency then focus almost entirely on the defense in the draft.
