This Bears rookie was dubbed a ‘secret superstar’ in 2025

  1. It’s Ozzy for anyone not willing to check the article.

Hoping he makes a full recovery, it’d be great if he can keep developing as our LT. Would be huge for us, but that injury is also pretty scary. It’ll be interesting to see what the Bears do regarding the LT position and also what kind of timeline it takes Ozzy to get back.

  2. Devastating injury that changes the course of our offseason. We could have focused entirely and solely on the defense, but now we have to figure out LT, and you can’t really solve that position casually. That means significant cap space or one of our first two picks.

  3. Were now getting secret superstar posts about our draft picks instead of “he might not be able to read”. Ben is truly a revelation

  4. I loved Ozzy’s development but his injury is career altering. LT is possibly our biggest need now. Not comfortable with Theo protecting Caleb’s blind side in year 3, as admirably as he performed. If Proctor drops to 25, I don’t think you can pass on his upside. I think that’s unlikely. I think Freeling is very much in play at 25.

I really hope Ozzy makes a full recovery, it’s a devastating injury to suffer at that age. He’s young enough to recover, and I’m hoping he does. But I don’t think we can count on it.

  5. There was a review of 56 patella ligament tears and 50% returned to play but only 25% to previous level. Recovery is 12-18 months, so Ozzy probably not back until 2027 OTAs.
