[Passan] Slugger Eugenio Suárez and the Cincinnati Reds are in agreement on a one-year, $15 million contract that includes a mutual option for the 2027 season, sources tell ESPN. The best bat left on the market goes to Cincinnati, where he’s expected to get most of his at-bats at DH.

  1. A guy who just hit 49 homers got signed to a 1/15 deal.

What simulation are we living in?

  2. I think it really tells you something about Geno that he is consistently linked to and wanted by his former teams. So excited to have him back.

  3. Would assume the buyout on the mutual option is a decent chunk of change

ETA: Well this aged incredibly poorly

  4. Lowkey a solid move. They needed offense bad and Suárez still brings pop. One year flyer with an option is about as safe as it gets.

  5. Reds to the mariners to the diamondbacks to the mariners to the reds

Can only assume he signs with the tigers next year to complete the circle

  6. For the love of GOD I hope we have signed a big free agent bat that is going to hit well. Moustakas and candelario stink is still lingering
