Cotillo: Eugenio Suárez was between the Reds and Pirates at the end, source says, with the Red Sox not playing a meaningful role in his market.

Red Sox beat writer. This shows 1. His market really was buttcheeks and 2. Wow, he really didn’t wanna play for us

He went there because there are two factors against us in that situation. He played for them last before, and he will hit at least 10 more home runs in GABP compared to PNC.
The dude played there for like 10 years. Not sure what we offered him but I can see why he chose them over us.
I mean, he clearly has a much stronger connection to Cincinnati than us because of his history there. With any decent season this year, he’ll become one of the Reds’ top-ten HR hitters in their history. Not to mention they snagged a wild card spot last year and could compete for one again this year.
Second place again. .500 here come the pirates.
Oh, look, the Pirates lost out on another free agent right at the wire. Shocking.
No worries guys, we signed O’Hearn and his 17 HRs…lol
