  1. I don't know if either of these line up… Larkin has been playing different since he was announced on the Olympic roster. Or when he took a puck to the face.

  2. 50:30 Thank you for touching on the lack of a full NMC on the Chiarot contract, and underlining how the 10-team NTC portion gives us flexibility at TDLs for the majority of the contract, despite the fact that NMC provisions are common with older players. 👍
As I said on Thursday, tidy work by Yzerman.

  3. If anybody agree, I don’t know Gibson’s been doing good but to get three goals in the shootout like that that bothered me in the fact that we couldn’t get three on a one legged goalie Larkin. This guy got a bad wheel on the left leg and you wanna go up top.

  4. My last comment we just have to sit and wait for the trade if I’m sure there’s gonna be one and I’m sure whoever it is is gonna be suited up and dressed up for the mini camp in February and I don’t see anybody from the big club being trade they’re all gonna be guys from grand Rapids

  5. Stanley Cup contenders add at the deadline. Idk where this concept that a fringe playoff team should be getting help at the deadline, just to give them a better chance to make it into the playoffs. Larkin crying about it last year when they were on that bubble came across as very out of touch with reality, that's poor asset management and roster planning. If this team is adding via trade it needs to be a long term addition that would have made sense at any point during the season or the upcoming offseason. Sure throw away a few disposable assets to shore up a spot, but any notable moves must be with the next few years in mind, any help that it would bring this season is just icing on top.

  6. Yeah, have you noticed I’m sorry that Larkin hasn’t been driving to the net like he used like he was. so what’s going on with him has he got his tail between his legs again is he a scared puppy again? I hope he reads this cause he needs to suck it up. if he doesn’t start doing something we’re not going anywhere. And if he’s hurt, stay home and don’t go to the Olympics it’s that point and simple because if he goes to the Olympics and he’s flying up and down that ice like he hasn’t been doing with the Red Wings well you can guess he’s only holding back because of the Olympics.

  7. I get the debate about the cost of these trades but improving the squad is going to cost. If Yzerman again refuses to pay, we are going to end up with another Adam Erne or Justin Hall.

  8. I called out Larkin after the last game and was told I’m crazy….look I love the guy, he’s the Captain, but he needs to be held accountable. This guy called out Yzerman yet he’s not stepped up this year at the time when we need him too. He should prove to Yzerman why they can do it without one injury cause right now it’s just strengthens his case that this team is not ready to commit to winning. Frustrating cause he’s better than this and it feels like he’s saving it for the Olympics.

  9. If Larkin is nursing an injury that contributes to his recent anemic results, Yzerman should request he withdraw from the Olympics. Same for Raymond. The Olympic hockey could get pretty intense.

  10. You can't get predictive certainty in a trade before you make it. Perfect example is the Mantha-Vrana trade. Most people thought we fleeced Washington but we all know how that turned out, lucky that we at least came away with Cossa and Dick Panik.
Fans and content creators keep altering our contention window based on whatever they perceive during the season or with prospect development.
"We're more than 4-5 years away so bringing in Panarin is a dumb move"
When the same people said 4-5 years in 2021 🔮🔮

  11. Makes me wonder if going big on Thomas is close to a necessity to preserve Larkin a bit. It would be such a good fit in theory, but keeping Larkin more fresh for a playoff run may need more weight assigned to that variable.

  12. Due to Kasper regression, Larkin internally may feel even more responsibility to do more. Also, other teams are doing it, the Wings should complete a trade before the Olympics. There are 5 games before the trade deadline after the Olympics. They can’t have this slide continue. Keep in mind, once they come back 3 of the Wings best players could be gassed from playing in the Olympics. Who on the current team are going to pick up the slack?

  13. We're all thinking the same thing about larkin but don't want to say it. Hes the last holland drsft pick, he folds every year around this time, and it used to be just injury related, theres no way I can say his lack of effort is injury related this year, he's making really bad lazy plays and he's been doing it for 2 months. His leash ends this next 3 games, he doesn't play well, he shouldn't be on this team.
