Good afternoon my favorite team
These questions werent as terrible as they normally are…..but why dont reporters ask questions that will intrigue the viewers to want to watch the upcoming games?
If I were a reporter, Id ask, for example "Pittsburgh has a team that wins a lot of puck battles, they are great passing and transitioning team as well….are those some of the aspects you'll be focused on going into the game?"
"Is there anything else that you find makes Pitt a particulary difficult team to play?"
(I realize they play the Caps tonight and Pitt tomorrow, its just an example)
Personally, Im bored to DEATH of hearing "what do u think it will be like to play with so and so on your line?" Followed by the most vanilla, media-trained answer ever. "Yea ____ is great, he works hard, Im really looking forward to playing with him…bla bla bla…."
Someone should ask Mayfield why he makes so many mistakes for a 12 year veteran
