  1. It’s honestly a massive difference and his stance makes him seem more powerful as well. Looks like he’s getting better launch angle which is what I remember hearing initially the change was for

  2. Is he still going to flail his arms excitedly after he socks one? I kind of want him to keep doing that.

  3. Looks clean, and mean. I’m hoping the Red Sox have the kinks worked out, offensively and defensively, with KC. Haven’t lost faith in him for sure.

  4. How did Campbell perform in winter league in PR? This year the league had a bunch of crafty pitchers.

  5. He has a very good eye. If this helps him get the ball in the air more and gets the exit velo up a hair he’ll be a stud

  6. Do this and also (a) field a ground ball and then (b) throw it to first base, and we’re cooking

  7. He’s going to be important for us. Some are saying 2B but I think he’ll be our new Rob Refsnyder in the outfield. We absolutely must have a good RH bat out there. As good as our outfield is, it’s not good against lefties. Only Roman hits lefties. We absolutely need a new Rob Refsnyder.

  8. Definitely looks a lot more streamlined and straight to the ball with less moving parts. I’d love to see Campbell tear it up in camp.

  9. Looks wayyyy smoother than last year, everything bottom to top feels more connected, and that’ll help the launch angle. If he can field ground balls then we probably have our second baseman

  10. Much smoother.

His loading is much softer than last season. His front leg step was extreme last season… he would be falling towards the ball… and losing energy/control unless it was timed perfectly.

The pre swing arm loading is much less violent as well.

He was just trying way too hard to muster up power last season. There were times where the front leg would land too soon and his hands would just slap at the ball without any energy stored behind it (imagine trying to throw a punch after you have already used up the torque from your hips, body, etc… it’s just your arm flapping/jabbing).
