CJ declined invitation to the Pro Bowl

  1. I’d say Notre Dame mentality but frankly I agree with him. He’s gotta lock in after that last one.

  2. It would’ve been a PR nightmare had he accepted it. You can’t go to a pro bowl after the playoff performance he had the media would’ve ate that up. Bro just gotta focus on figuring out how to run this sorry ass patriots scheme

  3. It’s a lose/lose if CJ goes to the Pro Bowl and participates in a skills challenge. He either bungles it and provides new meme fodder, or he crushes it and we’re left asking why he can’t recreate the same skills when it actually matters.

  4. I’m not sure it’s called a decline it it’s intercepted before it gets to him

  5. Good. Honestly if he does what he did last offseason and keep a relatively low profile, he’ll be fine.

Side note, but if he were to do any sort of press from now to like training camp, I would hope that he would do something chill like the Pivot Podcast. Their interviews tend to be very chill and motivational.

  6. I can easily imagine him saying he doesn’t deserve it after that playoff performance.

I don’t agree with it. He’s young and should experience everything the league offers and have some fun.

But I respect his desire to get to work.

  7. He’s scared of being memed to death. Bro took the spotlight off of Nine that’s how bad he played last two games

  8. He can read a room but he’s gonna be ok. He plays better w something to prove anyways.

  9. This seems like a stay away from the media move. He knows what he’ll be asked nonstop. Tbh I don’t blame him but I do he continues to stay away from distractions.

  10. This is the reason Shedeur is now a “pro bowler.”

Not saying that to mean anything against CJ or any of the other guys in the league, but you’ve got to think they went down the list and Shedeur was the first to say “yeah I’ll go.”

  11. Honestly I feel like he declined to avoid public scrutiny. Mentally he wouldn’t be ready for that. CJ is human . He’s not a per se Rodgers who has no problem dishing trash talk back. As much as he gave that energy after the win in Pittsburgh. He knows better, Not only that, those crowds will come for him.

  12. Good. The dude needs to have a hell of a reset before he’s back on camera. Leave the country for a month, cut the dreads, bulk up, work on footwork, and throw the ball (a football). The next time we see him needs to be him and Tank connecting on deep routes. I wouldn’t even be mad if he packed a few bowls while he was gone.
