  1. Man I’ll never forget. For two weeks this guy looked like a goddamn Tier 1 superstar. He was putting up 1st Ballot HOF numbers and the team was just a fucking joy to watch. Just came out of nowhere too, which made it all the more special. Everyone loves an underdog story.

Then the Miami game happened and the dream was over.

  2. We were starving for a PG for so long and for Lin to do this it really felt like we found a diamond in the rough… didn’t end up turning out as good as we hoped but such a memorable time as a fan of the Knicks

  3. That was a great run in NY no doubt…but Lin would’ve got *destroyed* by the league and media if he went through with that comment. Would have a massive target on his back.

Coaches and top players who have been playing each other since AAU would come in every game against the Knicks, erased the whiteboard gameplan, wrote JEREMY LIN in huge letters and just start the pre game meeting with “How do we fuck this kid’s night up?”

  4. I was at the garden for game 2 of Linsanity, against Utah. My friend and I, like everyone else, were just happy to be at the game and wondering if this kid could duplicate his breakout performance from the previous game. He eclipsed it with 28, the Garden was raucous and Linsanity was in full effect. Until Brunson, the best time to be a NYK fan since the ’99 finals run.

  5. I was at the Dallas linsanity game.. prob the best knick game i went to. High fiving everyone!

  6. Lin was a solid player. Started off so high but still a great story. He was a LEGIT 6th man on any team.

  7. This shit was a fever dream. Sometimes im going about my day and suddenly think about Linsanity and have a pause in my day.

  8. Was such a good time, if Melo wasn’t so dramatic it probably could have been special. Shot down by Kobe then also shot down by his own team star. Only because of injuries he had a chance but my man’s is a champion. Melo can’t say that.

  9. Man being an asian hooper Lin was so surreal. I remember everyone saying I wasn’t tall enough to play ball when I was a kid. I was like 5’9 in highschool and eventually grew to 5’11 in college so they were definitely right but I still loved to play on the court. Obviously there was Yao but he was such an alien that I don’t really think I can even relate even though I really liked him. Then in walks Lin and it’s like every sterotype about asians just got thrown into the bin while he cooked the league. What a time to be alive lol.

  10. I’ve seen flow state/in the zone quite a few times in the NBA. Saw Jordan’s 63 point game against the Celtics on tape. Bron’s 25 consecutive points in a quarter against the Pistons. Melo’s 62 points against the Bobcats (ZERO turnovers). Klay’s 37 points in a quarter. Steph’s… well Steph had a lot in his unanimous MVP year.

JLin was on some insane flow during Linsanity. Incredibly rare too because he was able to prolong it over a number of games. Incredible times.

  11. It was a really wild time. I’ll never forget it.

For a short period in time, Jeremy Lin made believers out of us all. If ONLY he wouldve been able to sustain the wave he was riding and parlayed that into an all star level career. But then again, could ANYBODY have sustained that? There’s never been another player in league history to have a trajectory like Lin had. It’ll never happen again, either.

I am SO glad to say that I loved to witness it.
