Wings can't consistently shut a team like the Avs out but they do occasionally pull out an effort like this. There was a time when they'd have taken that 5-0 beatdown and come to Denver and lose big again. This team is growing up.

When the Wings came to Raleigh earlier this season, I could sense this was a young, fast, exciting team that would no doubt make the playoffs, but also maybe make a deep run. I'd love to see them beat the Lightning in the second round. I'm a long time Canes fan but I was born in Michigan and was an early Wings fan as a young kid, way back. Still love the Wings as my 2nd favorite team.
