  8. Colton, why don’t you see “the value” in Yandy Diaz? He’s a really good hitter, his wRC+’s the last 5 years are:

    ‘21: 110

    ‘22: 145

    ‘23: 163

    ‘24: 120

    ‘25: 135

    Seems pretty valuable.

  11. Emmerson won't be the opening day 3rd Baseman, Donvan will, but by the Halfway point, Colt will be the regular 3rd Baseman allowing Donovan to be that Swiss Army knife guy playing various positions on a daily basis, when guys need a day off, or someone is sidelined with an injury.

  12. If we're trading SP Santje, with Evans getting ATJ surgery and missing 13-15 Months, wed need a #4-#6 Caliber Swing Man SP type in case of injuries to our SPs/Rotation…. we can always & probably more practical to get a legit swing & miss, Low HR & BB per 9s high leverage Setup Man/CL type RP 2 months before to on the trade deadline date.

    TBH I really do have significant hopes that did manage to add Primary DH/Depth 1B Switch Hitting (would be far better add than a righty Bat Hitter) Yandy Diaz as well, sending whichever of Platoon RF/DH Canzone or Religh that's least valuable, lesser of a fit bat & player in this deal to hopefully land Yandy…. or potentially make seperate move largely using 1 of those 2 and or somewhat disposable position prospects with Addition of Donavan (not Young, Farmello, Arroyo, Laz Montes or Emerson or Brock Boden, preferably not Felenin Celestin if trading Peete)…. also then add 1-2 COF/UT OF like a Steven Kwan, Keppler, Yazstrimski or Harrison Bader, and or maybe a IF mainly IF Andujar as a bench guy/SS option with the SS D & base running very very significant decline last 4 seasons so far, plus the age of Crawford as well.

    We still also need to improve our COF D & IF D, and improve our Base Runner & Stealing Abilities, ideally lengthen our order & bench but ats with better batrel/contact & OBP % guys so can drive in & score more runs whether via regular hits & bunts or having more guys on base for HRs, plus having guys like that on bench & in order will help Bat in front of them get improved pitches to hit as well, trying to keep fewer guys getting on base for guys who make frequent and or hard hit/HR contact.

    Then sometime by trade deadline we can hopefully add a high swing & miss, K per 9, lower HR & BB per 9, higher velocity & leverage setup man/CL type RP…. Ideally with a meaningfully different arm slot/angle & pitch mix than common for all Ms Pitchers usually have to give a different look & make it bit more unpredictable & different so harder to figure out & dial in every 1 of our Pitchers.
