  1. Man what a crazy season this has been. Never thought Dray would ever have talk of being traded.

  2. I guess this is all just a nothing burger in the box are just trying to assess value for the off-season. It is the Warriors chasing rainbows and unicorns their other moons that could be made now to improve the roster. Hope those aren’t all out the window.

  3. I’m honestly sad. It’s really over FR. He’s taken a step back this year but he’s truly an all time legend. At worst, like the 7th best defender of all time.

  4. Said years ago I wanted Curry/Green/Thompson to be Warriors for life, one third of that fell apart already but still hoping for the other two to finish it out.

  5. I admittedly have not watched as many games the last couple of seasons to see whether Dray’s impact is the same as it used to be. But from that perspective, this wouldn’t hurt the way it would have a few years ago for me. The incidents and blowups have gotten finally gotten old and if he’s the price of at least seeing what we can do with Giannis, so be it

  6. I hate to say this but who’s going to trade for this version of Dray. Then again, Dallas did trade for oft injured on the downward slope AD…

  7. At this point rather it’s Giannis or not I’m not against moving on from draymond. Amazing run and a statue will be built for him. But I think it’s time.

  8. lol no one wants Draymond. This is some garbage spin Draymond is putting out there.

  9. Honestly, he put his run with the Warriors in jeopardy with how he conducts himself and how he’s played.

I’ll forever be grateful for what he’s done but he hasn’t been a positive impact on the team over the last 2 seasons.

If the choice is between Steph getting a proper send off or keeping Dray so he’s with us for his whole career, it’s a no brainer imo.

  10. Should test the waters beyond Giannis as well. I love Dray and what he did for us. We don’t win the chips without him. But up till now the good always outweighed the bad but this season he just isn’t net positive enough for us with how thin our margin for error is.

  11. I think Dray is a negative contract. They gave him a player option for next year which he is 100% taking. Dude isn’t a winning player anymore. Only thing he is good for is salary filler in Giannis trade.

  12. I appreciate everything Draymond has done for this team, but his offense is killing us, and his defense, while still DPOY level at times (usually in big games) has also fallen off. Sentimentality aside, we should have traded him 2 years ago (just like JK). On one level I’ll be very sad to see him go. On the other hand, if it means we get back Giannis – or even just another solid offensive weapon like MPJ or Troy – I’ll be happy to say vaya con dios.

  13. In a perfect world, I’d have wanted all three, Curry, Klay, and Draymond to all retire as Warriors.

I rank Curry higher than the other two, obviously. To me, Klay and Draymond were both about equally as important to our success, but on a tier below Curry.

If Klay was still on the team, I’d say hell no, let all three retire with us. But since they were willing to let Klay go, I’m ok with Draymond being gone as well, especially if it brings in a MVP level player like Giannis.

Curry, though.. I don’t care if the Spurs offer up Wemby for him. That man has to retire in the blue and yellow.

  14. yeah this is a really bad idea from a basketball standpoint like maybe you could find a better rim protector for that money, maybe, but you would 100% be sacrficing switchability, IQ, chemistry with steph and experience. Even if we got back prime AD I would still flinch a little- the same way jimmy plugged a lot of gaps in our offense draymond did that for the defense, its very tempting to put these types of guys up for trades only to realize what you’ve done months later. All that said he shouldn’t be traded purely based on the fact that he’s a legend, just my 2 c.
