No disrespect to Brian Lewis. He does great work despite working for a propaganda rag that I would only ever buy if there was a TP shortage again, but last week he pumped the Nets are "considering" a Giannis offer to now, nope, never even called. I get it's hard to create news where there's none but at least it got us talking and that was probably the point of it all.

  1. “Considering” is such a vague word. Every GM “considers” things because that’s their job. If I had to guess, the Nets will be involved on Thursday, but more as a facilitator. The Nets want draft capital and have the cap space to assist other trades. I wouldn’t be shocked if they sent out filler (like Zaire) and absorbed another dump for the purpose of getting back picks because that is what Marks wants and he hasn’t been shy about it. With Giannis, Ja, and now Harden (lol) on the table, it’s possible the Nets can be a 3rd or 4th team involved.

  2. Reporting the nets are considering Giannis doesn’t contradict they never even called. The were considering Giannis so probably having internal discussions about what it would take and what it would result in – why make a call if you don’t think it’s worth it (which it seems like the Nets don’t think trading for freak makes sense)

  3. They’d want Egor, MPJ and firsts and there is no way in hell we ever consider that trade.
