Hope they can get it done.
Oh good, two people I love hearing from.
Not a ton of substance, but encouraging to see both the state and MLB symbolically throw their weight behind this project.
Of course it all comes down to financing in the end. But I don’t think these new owners get this far if they have real doubts about it being feasible.
Anything can happen though. Choosing to be optimistic.
I love this team so much I powered through a ton desantis speech.
like most press conferences with political figures, a lot of words without saying much
Desantis stuttering with that first question. 50% of $3.2 billion means that taxpayers are on the hook for a huge amount. It will never happen. It is political suicide in today’s economic climate. People are struggling. The Rays are nothing more than a feeder team for larger teams. If Baseball wants to adopt a salary cap…maybe I would vote for a CIT but as currently functioning? 100% no. No corporate welfare. Bunch of word salad.
I’ll believe that a new stadium has been built when my butt is in the seat.
Hey, it’s Meatball Ron!
Desantis will be out of office by the time anything happens
