Yzerman would never trade for kadri. Nope.
I would love to see it, but I doubt Yzerman would pull that trigger.
He wants an impact player. I expect him to pick up Jason Robertson or somewhere down the road Nikita kucherov for Connor McDavid.
Kadri is not in the wings time line. I would rather go after Domi at 30

Kadri is still owed $28 million until age 38 with a buyout clause of $2,041,660 AAV that would go to 2033.

We didn't get any lucky breaks so we don't have a single asset to spare if it's not at least a 5 year player.

Why would the Wings trade for a 35 and 32 yr old… both are outside the cores age group.
Yzerman will trade for someone who fits within this teams timeline not a rental nor someone past their prime

I hope Detroit can get Logan Thomas. His toughness reminds me of some of the guys that were on those 97&98 championship teams. His toughness could be a huge lift for this team.
I say Vincent on the rangers is a better center and weager is good I'd be ok with trocheck weager and even a Thomas from the blues three players that would make a huge impact right away go big or go home Stevie

nope on both of these guys. This is a terrible idea. Ras > Weegar and Copp > Kadri. Detroit picking up Robert Thomas. Yeah. that would be good.
This would be a stupid trade given the age of these players and where the Wings are in there turn around right now. You might consider this if they were in win now mode, but they are not. I just can't see Yzerman giving assets for these 2 players. Kadri has a year or two left if that and Weegar is 31 years old. Why give up any assets for these two. You are asking him to do something stupid and I don't think he will and sure hope that he doesn't.
