Jets hire ex-head coach Frank Reich as offensive coordinator

  1. Always a Bills legend in my book, I’ll be rooting for him in the sense that I hope despite the Jets missing the playoffs for a 16th consecutive year, that this isn’t his final career stop.

  2. He will be acting head coach by week 8. I thought Glenn was a decent hire by the jets at the time and he still could be but his team was flat out non competitive the last 5 games. In year 1 in Detroit dan at least had his team competitive in most games year 1

  3. I thought he was essentially retiring? I guess being around the smart kids at Stanford refuelled his love of coaching.

  4. This is a really good hire by the Jets. He was the OC for the Eagles when they won the SB with Nick Foles. He’s not a “yes man” at all.

  5. i will always love frank reich even if he is on the jete

(but honestly this is a pretty good hire by the jete who are known for making not so good hires lol)

  6. I actually feel like the Jets new GM has been doing a good job. Building up through the trenches and putting a strong OL together, got very strong returns in the trades from Sauce and Q Williams. But man Aaron Glenn is such a disaster. Hopefully they fire him soon enough to prevent him from tanking them to the #1 pick next year

  7. I had thought of his name when we were still looking for an OC. Has experience both play calling and not, long tenured veteran which fit the job description well.

And then of course the local connection
