Looks like I have an admirer and someone jumped the gun on my series overnight… here is a different album I put together of a great man, Mr. Wakefield. #49
It’s the only jersey I own. I just loved his blue collar work ethic and his willingness to do whatever was asked, even if it hurt him statistically. He was quiet and never complained. He is someone that many should take as an example.

Usually I have a lot to say about calling everyone a legend… and I was going to say that here. But then I thought about what he did for the team, particularly in 2003 and 2004… and really, he is a Red Sox legend. His innings eating in the 2004 ALCS goes down as legend. The fact that had 2003 turned out differently he would have been the 2003 ALCS MVP is legend. WAKE!
