7. I prefer for this over a Giannis trade. While not nearly as good of a player, he's younger, fills a bigger need, and we hardly had to give up anything.

    Great shooter. Left college at 39% his last year from 3, been over 40% 2 of the last 3 seasons. 86% from the line this year and a tick under 80% for his career.

    I like this over Coby, I'd talked about Coby's turnovers on other videos. Ayo is (per 36 minutes) 5.0 assists to 1.9 turnovers. Coby was 5.8 assists to 3.9 turnovers. I think both the shooting and the assist to TO rate play well (something DDV does well too) and better than a lot of other options I'd heard (Coby included who I probably wouldn't have opposed to as he's a sure rotational guy too). Ayo is 1.5 stocks per 36 minutes vs. 1.0 for Coby as well. Last year he was hurt for almost half the season but other 3 years and this year has been reliably healthy.

    I don't know if he can be a true always initiate offense kinda guy, or if that's his role… he's a combo guard not a PG (more NAW than Conley) but might fit that same mode as DDV where he can do it for a bit if needed here and there but if someone else is he's a weapon off screens or spreading the floor while Ant/Julius run the O, or get out on the wing when Jaden/Naz grab a board and break…

    Defensively he's active, I've seen him take charges now and then which is nice (and I probably overrate that but meh, that's me, I just think that's a more positive sign overall). Physical talent/size is there, 6'9" wingspan (again comparing Coby as a top target, his was 6'5") and really active on point of attack. He can play either guard defensively in that respect…but I've heard he can be inconsistent or caught out of position at times there on rotations. I like those things when it's fighting through screens and oftentimes playing on the back of a shooter (something Clark and DDV do well is that contest the pick and roll guy from behind allowing Gobert to drop).

    ONE thing I really wish is he had another year on his contract. FA after this year, and if he plays well, you pay. But this gives the Wolves a top 7 rotation you can sit on. That means you can go more situational with Clark or Bones in their rotations. And come playoff time, IF they have a healthy lineup, that's 5-6 minutes for an 8th man which really is situational between likely Bones, Clark or Joan, in the playoffs it's even more about the stars and your top 7….
