The way I view this is either they have no confidence in Eaton and Sogard or IKF has a great reputation as a team player and they want that.
I'm surprised that you are automatically assuming he's gonna ride the bench – I got IKF starting at 2B. I don't necessarily like it either but I think we should get used to it. Who do you all got as the everyday 2B? I mean assuming we don't get anyone else.
I think he serves as a super ut guy off the bench. I don’t think he was meant as a replacement for Bregman or Marte or Parades. It also doesn’t hurt that Ranger Suarez is something of a sinker ball pitcher that needs some defense behind him. I also think we need to see how Marcelo Mayer works. I’d rather try that and have a trade chip in season than go get a plan D guy in a panic.
