Orioles acquire Blaze Alexander for Kade Strowd, 2 prospects | Banner Baseball Show
After pitching in 157 minor league games across six seasons, Kade Strowd finally got his opportunity to pitch in the big leagues in 2025, and he made the most of it. The right-hander posted a 1.71 ERA and looked like a lock to break with the team this spring.
Instead, he’s on his way to Arizona, along with a pair of prospects, in a deal that brings infielder Blaze Alexander to Baltimore.
“Banner Baseball Show” co-host Paul Mancano is joined by beat reporter Andy Kostka to break down a confusing transaction.

Im a little confused by this one 🤔
Yeah, that makes sence in alexander part.but guy had 1.71 ERA??
Well injuries happen.so get that, but strowd dude is young bullpen arm eith 1.71 ERA.gotta be shitting me!this was/is CRIMAL by Hazen.outstanding value
Hazen is a CRIMINAL.unless cant pass physical or so.ething
Pure robbery without a firearm.WOW!!
Well thats part of unknown.we dont know what got coming off farm team can cover moving strowd
1.71 era for strowd is on relatively limited IP and doesnt reflect the time he loaded bases with no outs only for rico garcia to come in and get them out of the inning no RA
Cano,Akins,Kittredge too hold down 6,7 and8th innings,good luck!
Giving up a quality BP arm in a weak BP for a utility player….huh.😮
most of Mikes move I get and can defend but this one has me baffled. Strowd pitched well and is under team control for a few more years. I feel we needed to add to the bull pen not subtract
What's confusing is not signing either Ranger or Framber, let alone Imai, Peralta, King. or any other of the big-name starters they were linked to. Meanwhile the relievers may be worse than the starters and Elias just dumped another way
Does Angelos still own the team?
