Cutting Daron makes zero sense. So we'll have $11.2 million in dead cap. We'll pay someone about $17 million to replace him. In that scenario we get no comp pick. Just let him play out his contract and get the comp pick. You can do worse than Daron in a contract year

When looking at bringing in a TE.. don’t forget the fact that Bates has a 5m cap hit in 2026 with a 10m cap hit in 2027… so I don’t see them signing someone to big $ at the position.. cross Pitts / Likely etc off your list.. and think more towards guys who will get 1 year at around 6-7m..
Hockenson, Knox, Gesicki, Kmet, Shultz when they are cut.. they’ll bring in a proven veteran, who can work the middle of the field and be a security blanket for Jayden.. Higbee, Njoku are other options
