7. You guys are delusional in wanting the Leafs to hurry up and do a targetted sell off in order to freshy fresh a minor retool. What PLANET are you guys on?!! Those minor retools hardly ever work and are the exception not the rule when they do. Any serious change would mean a serious commitment of time, 5-10 years, which the fans and you two could not tollerate. Fact is, If you're going to weaken the team now you're basically throwing 34 and 88 under the bus because any real talent you get would only come via prospects and picks which take TIME to develope. And please (especially you Sammy) don't be too adamant about it, otherwise you'll look silly if the Leafs in fact make the playoffs.

Of course if you can not get a deal done you have to trade them for something. The goal would be to get good younger prospects and picks back. The real players that need to go are hard to trade but will get a return which will help the team. Mathews floating all game again, Reilly, Tanev due to inuries/age and Domi you could eat some contract as there is no fit here. Carlo would also be a trade for value if you cannot extend him. We need some new young blood. I would take a shot at Michov

22. The national narrative around these two teams are polar opposites. Oilers are contenders and the Leafs are awful. Only ONE point separates these two teams. If Toronto and Edmonton switched divisions , Toronto would be 2nd in the pacific, and Edmonton would be 4 points behind the second wildcard.

26. What you have to ask yourself honestly is this, had Woll and Stolarz been ordinary it's totally possible that they could have lost two out of the three games. They barely beat the Canucks and Calgary outshot them. They beat one good team which they would never beat in a 7 game series. What this little winning streak will do is ensure Boston gets their first round pick and the organization can now make minute changes…

41. This game being a reminder of last year and accepting its smoke and mirrors makes me infuriated. I was saying all last year the team was not good and Berube is a nightmare hire that needs all world goaltending to even be passable. Hiring Tre and Berube has cost the leafs years of Matthews and Willy. I would rather have kept Keefe and Dubas and I was all for them going. Classic leafs. Bad to worse because they don’t know how to make good decisions.

42. Retain on Domi and ship him out for whatever they can get. Retain on Joshua and trade him. Trade McMann. Keep Laughton. Keep all 3 goalies unless you can get a 1st. Get a top D-man and give up whatever you have to. Leafs are terrible in the D zone.
