  1. 1st and a prospect. He’s an NHL caliber forward ready to go.
I don’t want him gone, bu8t if he can get a chance at a cup then give’r.

  2. As they should, but Avs, Stars, Knights, Oilers, and Wild don’t have their 2026 1st.

2027 1st is totally fine by me as well. But this is a no-brainer — as incompetent as Treliving is, he should be able to get a 1st for McMann OR a decent prospect

Laughton, one of the goalies, and Carlo also can fetch us a good return

  3. Maybe I’m crazy but if the Leafs goal is to still be contenders while Matthews is here I don’t see how picks help. You got two more shots with him. The first rounder we’d get is probably not gonna be ready to go and make a big difference by Matthews last year probably.

  4. Absolutely dumb move if they do this. Super consistent, works up and down the line up. All for some unproven prospect. Boooooooooooooo.

Well I love the guy so I’m happy he’ll win a cup somewhere else.

  5. The dude is physical, big, has elite speed and will score 25 goals. Id say a 1st is not enough.

  6. Can we have a video tribute when he comes back? I love this kid to bits, I will miss him when he’s gone

  7. 16 of the 16 teams that will make the playoffs can financially make McMann work, and he can fit on any roster being a LW2 or LW3 with speed. I can’t imagine what the price tag will be if the Leafs decide to retain 50% too. $675,000 cap hit is insane value

  8. Would prefer an A prospect. A first would be nice, but stocking the pipeline should be immediate priority.

  9. McMann is a better player than Carlo. For some reason McMann is only worth a first but Carlo was worth a first AND the NHL rookie of the month.

  10. He’s gonna be 30 this year, if you can get a good prospect or a 1st for him, you 100% make that move. This team desperately needs an injection of youth in the next few years.

  11. We needed him as a secondary scorer in the playoffs and he didn’t step up. 13GP, 0 goals 3 assists.

  12. Just so you all know. If you’re all ok trading mcmann at the deadline then you must be ok with missing the playoffs next year

  13. We should see if Boston is willing to give our pick back along with a second or more draft compensation 🤣

But then again, I don’t want to talk to Boston about trades ever again. I don’t feel like being fleeced for the 10394949th time Lmaoo

  14. I’m all for keeping Bobby. Young and fast and listens to the coach. Seems to show up every shift too. I see why he would garner some valuable return but first rounders don’t always live up to the hype.

  15. His skating, defensive ability and scoring touch earn a contending first or high 2nd. The fact he’s on one of the best contracts in the league for the rest of the season warrants another late 1st/ early 2nd.

  16. This is viable. As much as I’ll miss him, he deserves a good run and to get paid (and so do the leafs!). We need young talent

  17. Come deadline, he will fetch this. Same with OEL. Not sure if I wanna trade OEL yet tho. Too cheap for what he brings and I like him when we play him correctly.

  18. Seattle was in on Panarin.

Maybe they push for Bobby now as a backup plan.

They have two 1sts, including Tampa’s. I could 100% see them trading Tampa’s pick and a prospect (TBL 1st is likely to be very late)

  19. first for him, first for oel, first for Laughton. use some of those picks to get a true #1 D in the summer. hopefully Laughton comes back and signs as well.

  20. I’d keep McMann, think about it , the teams that will ask for him will more likely make the playoffs, that means very high pick ,unless McMann wants to leave ? His game will benefit us more than a 1st that might not turn out ,in the next 5 years .

  21. The Edmonton rumors are strong but the Oilers don’t possess a first round pick this year and I think the Leafs want to add some prospects sooner than later.

  22. He is a rental for a contender. And if the leafs are retaining half, he comes in under the cap min. With the new playoff rules requiring the roster to be cap compliant, I see no reason he doesn’t get a 1st at minimum! Middle 6 20+ goal scorer, that is a capable 1st line winger. Plays both LW and rw.

  23. You might get one of those “Scott Laughton” firsts, wherein you get a protected pick, and throw a lower round pick back
