He’s really the only Shark blueliner with first pair potential.
Sharks are fun to watch but they still have obvious flaws on defense.
They need to go all in on getting someone like Reid, Lin or Rudolph in the upcoming draft.
If you’re picking 8 – 10, that happens. If you squeak into the playoffs, those guys are gone.
There’s some good prospects coming like Cagnoni, Pohlkamp, Wang and Sahin-Wallinius but it will be a good 3 – 4 years before they all wear teal on a regular basis.
SJ absolutely has assets to make a move for d-liners in their prime. Musty, Graf, Bystead, Misa and Cherynechov would fetch big hauls.
Don’t get me wrong- love all of the aforementioned guys but I think the Sharks will have to make some tough choices in order to move up the standings as their current roster of blueliners is patchwork at best.
We’re entering the difficult stage of the rebuild. We’re respectable but now need to land more defenders with first line ceilings. Those guys don’t grow on trees and those that are out there don’t come cheap.
Dickinson is amazing what do u mean yeah he doesn’t have a lot of points but he’s winning the puck back a lot more then leddy
Unleash Dickinson but also tank now. They’ve really made it clear this is the last season they can really crack the top 10 in the draft if they want.
And this draft couldn’t be any more appealing. Tons of rhd and not just offensive ones. Actually shutdown defenseman with size.
Tank tank tank!
Let Dickey loose!
I'm not sure that's the plan right now or I think we'd see them take the training off of Michael Misa and Igor Cherynikov wouldn't be logging time with the Barricuda. I respect what Mike Grier has done with this team in terms of acquiring players who are going to help but realistically we're not a contender yet so player development is still the #1 goal this season as much as we all want to see them in the playoffs
Polkamp is going to be a good staple defenseman
