Why This Pittsburgh Penguins Season Feels Different
In this video I talk all about the Pittsburgh Penguins and how much of a pleasant surprise they’ve been this season. Very few people predicted the Penguins to make it to the playoffs this year, let alone a potential contender in the Eastern Conference. But Sidney Crosby, Evgeni Malkin, Kris Letang and many of the new additions have excelled for Pittsburgh well past the halfway point of the season. Rookie Benjamin Kindel has been unbelievable as an 18 year old, Anthony Mantha and Justin Brazeau have been huge pickups on offense, and the entire team has an inner belief that we haven’t seen from the Penguins in a few years.

As a life long homer fan, my outlook on the pens has been pretty pessimistic over the last couple of years and was expected and accepted but this year is a pleasant surprise thus far. I'm open minded to what could or could not happen when it's all over.
It’s crazy that dubas was able to turn this team around in just 2 years with no picks inside the top 10. The penguins have cap space, prospects, and are second in the metro. I couldn’t ask for more
Mantha is really impressing me. I still love Malkin. mantha, Brazeau, but Novak, Malkin, Chinakhov is a great 2nd line.
Crosby will be turning up after the Olympics. Karlsson has played so much better this year. Blocking shots by Rust and everyone really helps bail out the goalie if they need it. Their PK looked great against the Sabres.
Great breakdown. 👍
