For how insane this trade was…it kinda feels like the aftermath has fallen flat.
This trade hurt so much. Turris was one of my favourite Ottawa players when he arrived from Phoenix and Duchene just corrupted the locker room and remaining on ice chemistry. There just is too much risk trading big for a disgruntled star and we paid dearly. It leads to the taxi scandal and other humiliating events and a very long rebuild.
It’s hilarious because if he had stuck around for a couple more years he would have a cup by now. Instead he gets bood any time he has the puck here in Colorado and will probably never win a cup. We hate the guy.
