  1. Probably a better trade for the cowboys if he went to the eagles. Obviously never trade a guy like Parsons inside the division.

  3. This is pretty interesting; surely there must’ve been other reasons because Carter is easily better than our offer, right?? I mean I guess Micah could’ve declined the extension but surely he wouldn’t (assuming it was the same as ours) solely because the reigning champs lose Carter in the deal. I know he says that but cmon. 

  4. Jerry Jones would have been torched at the stake for letting Parsons go to the Eagles regardless of the return.

  5. I would have absolutely taken Jalen Carter, who I believe is still on a rookie deal and both a better player and younger than clark. Even if it was Clark and 2 firsts vs Carter and a 1st and a 2nd.

    At the time of the trade, Carter was a top 5 interior linemen according to PFF. They eventually got quinnen Williams who was #4. Can’t imagine that interior.     That being said, if you have Carter already, you probably don’t trade for Williams. They could’ve kept the first rounder for a pass rusher then. And use the other on a CB after releasing diggs.

    But this is Jerry Jones after all

  7. Iirc, Eagles had a better offer than us, but Cowboys of course dont want to make the Eagles better.

    Its why there is a poison condition in the trade we made with them.

  8. They would have been way better off getting Carter back for Micah regardless of in division

  9. I dont think it was close, like why even insane Jerry Jones would not have traded Parsons to an in division Rival. A Rival that just won a Super Bowl.

  11. I’m pretty sure this was reported when the trade first happened. But the report said Carter plus picks and Jerry said absolutely not because he wasn’t going to trade him within the division

  12. Green Bay is still somewhat of a rival to the Cowboys. We are to them what the 49ers are to us

  14. Eagles picking up Barkley and Parsons in under 2 years sounds like one of those timelines where the Avengers lost.

  15. I knew Philly tried to trade for Micah, but the story I heard was Jerruh was never going to trade him in division

  17. And Dallas would’ve exploded had Jerry been dumb enough to trade Micah to a team that just won the Super Bowl
