5. I absolutely believe the Sox should trade one of Tolle or Early as well as stop hoarding their damn outfielders to improve this infield as well as the offense. This team will not contend for a WS as currently constructed. As a fan base we fall in love with a prospect and hold on to them like they are next coming of god. One of the greatest values a prospect has is as trade pieces. The trick is getting a player back that elevates your MLB team. I have $100 that says one of Tolle or Early will have an impact on the 26 team but not both.

9. I think what they have is what we’ll see come opening day. The Sox have painted themselves in a corner and every team out there knows it. They should try and move either Bello or Duran and a prospect or two not in their top 5 list.

The Red Sox are in a position of strength due to their current pitching depth as far as a future trade possibility is concerned … Breslow should patiently let the market come to him than going to the market now … No need to be overpaying for a power hitting right hand bat now by foolishly dealing away Payton Tolle or Connelly Early … Pitching is always in demand and short supply especially when arm injuries unexpectedly and regularly occur … Hopefully Breslow will smartly now wait it out and have a desperate team in great need be the one who is forced to overpay for a Patrick Sandoval or Kyle Harrison …

13. Listening to this out of the full prospects, I would not give up early or aria the only one that I would be willing to depart with is Tolle and durran for definitely more than Isaac Paredes, I’m not a big fan of Isaac Paradis

16. I'd be willing to deal any prospect, EXCEPT the Top 4. I would prefer to move Oviedo, Crawford, Harrison, Sandoval, Houck and/or Bello, along with Yoshida for a power-hitting, decent fielding 3B or 2B. Every team could use another starting pitcher, and Yoshida can be a decent hitting DH, if he plays full-time and the Sox eat half his contract. You'd think this would be enough of a return for a spare part like Matt Shaw, Paredes or Baty or to a small-market team like the A's or just any number of teams. It's more than fair value. The upside of Tolle, Early and Witherspoon and the possibility of Arias in the 2nd half, will fix the Sox going forward in the foreseeable future. If I MUST trade away another OF, it would have to be Campbell because the other four has performed better so far, but I'd rather not.

36. I’m betting Sox are done adding and will start season as is with Meyer, Conor Falefa and Gonzalez at 3 and 2nd. See how the team stacks up. Wait til July and trade an outfielder and/or dump Matzukai (still eating a lot of his payroll) and pick up players who match their needs. Dreaming about trading for hitters is sexier than betting on your pitching staff to carry the day. But that’s seems to have driven this year’s offseason. (I don’t think secretly they wanted Bregman for 5 years.) Hey, Boston GM is a former pitcher and Sox have the best pitching coach in baseball, so it shouldn’t be a surprise this is the direction. Im excited to see season get underway and see how Mayer handles the situation. He is a primo defender and this pitching staff generates grounds balls.

38. It's great their young talent has graduated to the big leagues, but they have traded good talent to basically be a third or fourth place team. They messed up with reading the market regarding improving the offense , now they trying to be crative.

39. This is so frustrating! They had 2 fantastic FA opportunities. Bregman was their plan A to be so stubborn and not let the guy sign a no trade contract is biting them in the butt right now. If they knew that they should have used plan B with Alanso. Now they are in a situation where they have to use players in the farm system to bail them out!! Why didn't you just go off script for ONE OFFSEASON and just sign Bregman?? I am going to hate to see an Arias or Tolle go!! Maybe try a lower prospect and throw in Matsuzaka and Hamilton who are going to rot on the bench anyway. Matsuzaka will cost you money but that's the most logical move.
