    Watch for the Dodgers to swoop him up because of the sheer cheapness and stupidity of the tigers.

  6. Great visuals will rule the day. Truly a shame he didn’t have to use them. The attorneys for the team would have had a dickens of a time explaining how he’s not like the other arb 3 pitchers.

  7. Really disappointed in Ken with this quote. Tarik’s time for arguments was over before the arbitration decision was made. He chose to bring them and not present them. Once he made his case and left, the arbiters conversed and made a decision, and he no longer had the opportunity to present his awards.

    Also, the arbitration group was aware of the accomplishments without seeing the plaques. This is a really dumb interpretation of what actually happened.

  10. A champion fighter would take their title belt to an athletic commission hearing.

  12. Why the hell would he have to bring the proof? Dont the arbitrators know who wins awards? Do they even know what baseball is?

  13. Perhaps if Detroit offered $30M instead of a low ball $19M, they could have won. Detroit could have argued “Yes he has 2 CY’s and that’s why we’re offering $30M which is the richest offer in arbitration history”. That would be at least a compelling case.
