Giants Are Closer Than You Think and the Patriots Prove It

Evan and Tiki break down the biggest lesson from Super Bowl week by comparing the paths of the New England Patriots and the Seattle Seahawks, and what it means for the New York Giants and New York Jets moving forward.

The Giants are starting to look a lot like the Patriots from a year ago, with a young quarterback in Jaxson Dart, an established head coach in John Harbaugh, and a realistic path to a fast turnaround. Meanwhile, the Jets face a much longer rebuild and may need to rethink their obsession with finding a quarterback first.

From rookie QB comparisons to coaching stability, roster construction, and why Seattle proves there is more than one way to build a contender, this is a deep dive into what New York football should be aiming for next.

  1. Wait I must be on another planet
Saying that The New York Football Giants need to follow in N.E. Football footsteps 😮
You can take all you got and mix it up and believe me brother it ain’t what N.E. Got period 😂
“It’s All We Got It’s All We Need”

  2. Had we given Kliff Kingsbury the OC spot I would be all in….Matt Nagy doesn’t move me….seen his work not impressed….Matt Nagy scares me…flashbacks of the bears offense from a few years ago…hell KCs offense last year was atrocious….Prove me wrong that’s all I can say…

  3. Giants have a better wr room than the pats, better running backs than the pats, and better oline as long as we bring back eluminor or draft fancis in the first, on top of all that, giants absolutely have a better dline and safety’s in terms of players. Performance is a whole other thing but personnel wise, giants have a better team

  4. Let’s hope the Giants schedule next year is as historically easy as the Patriots’ was this year and not the toughest one in the whole league like this year

  5. I’m not gonna claim the giants are capable of making a deep playoff run next year, just yet. Gotta see them win some games first. But they have the horses for sure!! It’s a damn shame Jaxson Dart got like NO FREAKIN VOTES for rookie of the year. That was disrespect, and he should take it personally. he showed as much as any rookie quarterback in the last 10 years aside from Jayden daniels and Justin Herbert, and he may be on par with both of them had he been the starter from day 1

  6. tiki barber needs to stop being a homer. it is blinding him to reality. he forgot to mention that the patriots had a quick turnaround because they had over 130 million salary cap room, which enabled them to spend 350 million on free agents. that's a huge reason why they turned it around. the giants have only 7 million in cap space.

  7. By all of that logic the giants will definitely go to the SB, lol, giants players are always going to get hurt on that field and mess the season up just like it has the last several, lol.

  8. I don't want to get too cocky as a Giants fan.
The Patriots had something like $130 million in cap space going into the 2025 season, which is how they rebuilt so quickly. The Giants have $7 million; there has to be some serious maneuvering just to be able to sign the rookies after the draft, let alone keep the current roster and bring in some free agents.
