Did anyone see this on Instagram? Ovi out at dinner with a cake with “road to thousand goals” written on it.

Yes. I’d say it indicates he likes cake and hockey.
Waiting for the RMNB article asking if it means something.

Ovi has 919 goals in the regular season and 77 more in the playoffs… that’s 996 total. Gretzky has 1016 between the regular season and playoffs. Ovi is going to hit 1000 this season and try to pass Gretzky again next year. After that, who knows?
Is he over in Dubai getting some Russian Gas for that home stretch?
It’s a fun thought, but he’s definitely retiring after this year.
Technically speaking, every hockey player is on the road to 1,000 goals.
