  1. That was mind blowing. I still remember the ESPN broadcast of agents raiding the property. It was so surreal.

  2. Vick arguably wasn’t even top 10 in his position in 2006, nor was he the starting Pro Bowl QB.
JPJ is worse due to what was given up for him, his rookie season/potential and other gaps the team has.
    (I’m not judging the crime)

To add: OP is confidentially wrong about Vick being starting QB in Probowl in 2006.

  3. I saw a tweet saying “Now I know how my pops felt after Vick got arrested”. lol this isn’t even in the same stratosphere as Vick’s situation. 06 was wayyy worse

  4. I was on vacation at 17 ready to slay the queens at the campsite

I couldn’t even get hard that whole trip

  5. Poor Kevin can’t catch a break. Drama in Cleveland and drama in Atlanta. Guy deserves a normal season.

  6. Yeah the Mick Vick one hurt the most because while JPJ is a good pass rusher, Vick was the offense. Like he was the heart and soul of the offense and we saw what the falcons offense looked like with out him. Absolute dog water. Sucks about both situations but yeah the Vick one truly cripled the franchise for that entire year.

  7. I went to the high school across the street from the Falcons complex when this happened. It was a crazy timeline for sure

  8. Vick was transcendent so yeah it was way worse for the Falcons no comparison!
VICKmania was running rampant with us madden kids it was a fever

  9. Remember when our star safety Eugene Robinson got arrested the night before the Superbowl? That was a pretty low point

  10. Personally the falcons would be dumb to keep a guy that had super violent tendencies I mean because he tried to kill his ex-girlfriend and not only that kill a cop by running them over to escape so yes he did bond out but that’s a pretrial because he has to stand before a judge for the 5 felonies he committed and as an athlete this is a problem with young athletes yes you get drafted everything is good in the world but once you step out on the outside of the sports world you’re still employed by the league you work for and to go out and do something heinous like that it ruins your reputation look at Ray Rice look at Henry rugs III they’re not in the league no more because of what they done and it’s a sad situation I hate to see young black athletes do something like that outside of sports it sets a bad example for the next generation coming up under them

  11. True, but fairly close. 2 first rounders tied up with this clown and he’ll be in jail instead of on the field.

  12. i remember just not believing it until that SI article came out and was so sickened by people doing that.

  13. > still got cut, for dogs. Pearce commited crimes against actual humans

What the fuck. Both things are incredibly fucked up
