If DJ Caught the pass we wouldn’t be talking about any of this

  1. Didn’t DJ win NFL moment of the year by catching that other ball, giving us a legendary all time win over our arch nemesis the Green Bay Packers? Not forgetting about that – ever.

  2. If I didn’t participate in the Oregon Trail. I wouldn’t have died from dysentery.

  3. I don’t know if DJ can catch the pass if he’s running at 100% but at the very least he probably blocks off the defender from getting a clean read on the ball.

  4. If ifs and nuts were candy and nuts…

    The fact is that the team took too long every game to start scoring points, and the defense wasn’t good. These things must be fixed or they’re not going to get better.

  5. If rome caught the touchdown pass on the first drive we wouldn’t be talking about any of this

  6. Without DJ we aren’t reliving beating FTP twice at Soldier and bouncing them from the playoffs. He picked a bad time to have a bad play, no excuses there, but the people forgetting what he did to get us there are missing it.

  7. Worst part about the DJ slander is honestly the Rome slander that follows it. Rome is a 2nd year receiver who broke his foot. it’s not on either of them. If Ben goes for 10 yards every play on that last OT drive, we are in the Super Bowl rn, that upsets me more. But let’s Leave it in the past

  8. DJ Moore gets fucking nuked a few plays prior and clearly needed to be evaluated, but he went back in anyway. Stop blaming her for one fuck up when he gave a lot to this team this year.

  9. Before the season ended, I already felt like we might need to move on from DJ purely from a cap space stand point. After the playoffs, I feel the same way and for the same reasons. One play doesn’t change how I view a player.

    I think DJ is a very good receiver. And I think he’s a great person to have in the locker room. But if you’re really talking about what’s best for the bears as a team, you need to remove emotion and how much you like a player, and ask a simple question;

    Are we better keeping him, or if we had an extra $20M-$25M in cap space to spend elsewhere, would we be better with what that money could buy us without.

    For me, regardless if he caught that pass or not, I think it’s the latter.

  10. If CW hits Monangi in the flats, we move the sticks and kick a FG and win.

    Could do this all day.

  11. All right, we don’t need another Bartman conspiracy on our hands.

  12. Nah. I lost most of my respect for DJ when he walked to the bench during a play against the Cardinals. Rolled ankle or not, buddy gave up and youll never convince me otherwise. Didn’t get the ball so he bailed.

  13. His contract is his contract regardless of if he caught the ball in the Rams game. It’d still be a topic of discussion.

  14. Not true, regardless of that play it makes sense to trade DJ. We can use that cap space toward so many other players, and we have more than enough pass catchers. If there were no salary cap, sure, keep DJ and sign everyone else, but you have to make trade offs and I don’t understand why people can’t comprehend this.
