We never had luck ever even the times we were trying to be competitive

  1. Keep posting shit like this so our draft overlords can no longer hide behind their shameless selection of who goes where

  2. So in other words: “If you ignore the year that we got a top 3 pick despite having a 12% chance to do so for literally no reason at all, then the wizards have not moved up in the draft lottery at all despite a 73% chance to do so.” That’s really not crazy at all

  3. Things got stirred up with that Athletic article and because the trade deadline passed. It’ll settle again hopefully. Other fanbases just want the pick for themselves. Nothing the Wizards are doing is truly unprecedented, weird or out of the recent ordinary. Maybe they can go back to complaining about how many 3 pointers are taken in a game, or whine about how they’re so sure players from previous eras just couldn’t possibly learn a gather step or play at a faster pace. Dumb r/nba nephews.

  4. Change the rules if you don’t like the result they cause (they should) but until then it’s not fair to fault teams for pursuing their best interest.

  5. This is a bit disingenuous given us receiving the 2nd pick required a lot of luck. The bottom 3 teams each have a 27% chance of a top 2 pick, so the ping pong balls bounced our way two years ago

  6. Ignore the Outsiders. To them we’re the Wizards and we lose no matter what we do. Damned if we do, Damned if we don’t. We’re doing exactly what the Thunder, Pistons, and Spurs did to get to where they are it’s part of the game

  7. If we get fucked hard this year, it’s a travesty. If NBA does rigging, I would think they’d do it for us this one year so we can be relevant again.

  8. Lottery doesn’t mean shit to me anymore after last year. You can’t say it’s not rigged.

  9. I don’t think this is exactly fair because you literally can’t move up unless you win the lottery so it’s not like you can move from 10 to 8 or 9 to 7. You either get into the top 4 or move down or stay put.

  10. The system is meant for teams at the top to fall. The worst team has a better chance of getting a 5 than any other picks

  11. I am still fascinated how the 2nd worst team cannot even get a top 5 pick. That is such bullshit.

  12. Staying put isn’t losing in the lottery, but luck has not been on their side that’s for sure. I think Detroit moved down to their worst possible pick twice during their rebuild. Even though they did win it once with Cade Cunningham.
