Hiring him to be an assistant coach would be a very underrated and lowkey quality hire to help us through the healing process.

Hope he returns to Dallas someday. He will always be a legend here.

  1. Feels like something weird went on behind the scenes with JET. He wasn’t at Dirk’s last game, retirement celebration, or the statue unveiling, even though he had major parts throughout Dirk’s career. He also hasn’t been featured in any of the alumni stuff the team has done in recent years that I can tell. Shawn Marion, JJ Barea, Kidd, Chandler, etc. have all had roles within the organization since their retirements yet we never see JT. Could just be a coincidence but it seems odd, particularly since he is in the coaching profession.

  2. He still looks like he could play 5 mins a game

Barea is away as well with the Nuggets

  3. remember when he punched finley in the nutz when he was with the spurs during the 2006 playoffs? lol

  4. I went to the same PT as Jet the summer heading before he went to Boston and a year after the Mavs championship. We would warm up in the stationary bikes next to eachother. And I forget what I ask/said but I remember he seemed very despleased with Dallas as a whole. Something definitely happened but he kept it pretty surface level and I didn’t pry.

  5. I was at Hero last month after a Mavs game and there’s was some nfl playoff games going on. JET was there in the VIP section.. so I’m guessing he was at least at the game?

  6. I like Jet—no hate. He carried us too during the ’11 Finals run. But I think he didn’t like that all the spotlight was on Dirk.
