Hinch has helped propel the Tigers into the modern era of baseball, something we wanted them to do for many years. Happy to have him as our guy
I like that hes an actual analytics guy and that we didnt just hire some 60 year old fossil that still tries to manage like its 20-30 years in the past.
I don’t love the Houston aspect, but as a baseball manager not considering that baggage I think he’s one of the very best. Sometimes he gets too cute, but he gets more out of the roster than most managers would and there’s always logic behind what he does in game.
The Tigers are watchable for the first time in a decade so he’s already second behind Leyland for managers I’ve watched in my life lol (started watching in 06 when I was 10 👶)
I hold him in the same regard as Leyland & Sparky as Tiger managers. He’s extremely intelligent and obviously a great communicator with the players. Hoping he’s here for a very long time.
