Tigers new broadcast plans

  1. Well, once I get this new subscription purchased and get the rest of mlb.tv free through T-Mobile at the end of March when the season begins, it is going to be quite a wonderful experience.

  2. I sure am glad I bought a year upfront of FanDuel at the beginning of the Wings/Pistons season so I could make it through the Tigers season as well

  3. So we still can’t watch it without a subscription? Great. I’ll go back to watching futbol

  4. Hopefully it airs on my DirectStream plan, Netflix, Amazon or Disney/ESPN+/Hulu plans. As much as I love watching the Tigers (and other sports), I am not paying for another streaming service. They are bleeding us dry as fans.

  5. So exactly what app am I gonna have to download to watch the Tigers this season?

I got my eye out for deals…

  6. Tmobile offers free mlb tv in its package, if this now includes Tigers badeball streams, I’ll be very happy!

  7. Wait.. so is this gonna be a new app? Or will it just be the Fanduel app renamed again like how it was with Bally?

I’m having a difficult time wrapping my head around this.

  8. as long as mlb.tv works im fine because im only paying 30 bucks for the whole year

  9. Are they gonna let me pay for a whole season, only to cut off Canadians with no options for post-season subscriptions, even when ironically a Canadian team makes it all the way to the end? That’s what MLB TV did this year.

My bet is that this service is more in line with cable networks than its own thing, so probably not eligible to Canadians at all, even for the regular season. So sailing the open seas is my only option to watch Tigers games as a Canadian I guess.

Their loss, *literally*. I was willing to pay — but I’m not paying just to be kicked off at the climax that the whole regular season has been working toward.

They made broadcasting rights a nightmare. If they prefer contracts worth millions with Cable Networks whom nobody over 60 years old pays for, then scratch their heads and ask why this sport is dying??? I got the answer for you — It’s *accessibility* you morons. If it’s not accessible, it doesn’t get watched (at least not by a metric they make money on). It’s not rocket science.

  10. Am I reading this right? Major League Baseball is going to broadcast Red Wings games? How would that work?
