12. I remember going to my first Mavs game in 2000. Last game of season. Mavs playing Lakers, Kobe and Shaq, and Mavs were out of playoffs. Cuban had just bought team and stood up in front of fans and thanked them and told them how much they meant to team. He also promised a brighter future. I’ve been a huge Cuban fan ever since and would love this to happen!

36. Cuban sold the Mavericks to Dumont and Elderton so they could develop a new stadium/resort/casino in Dallas. That all depends on the Texas legislature agreeing to make casino gambling legal in Texas. The legislature will meet this summer and vote on that after having rejected it in 2024. So, Cuban is still a 20% owner but is adapting to the reality that the Texas legislature very likely will say no again. He does not want the Mavericks moved to Las Vegas where Dumont has all of his other businesses. Billionaires and their financial investments. I am sure that Cuban sees the Mavericks as a very possible championship team with Copper Flagg in the next few years and wants to help make that happen in Dallas.

I can't tell you how many people I've told, "I hope Cuban buys the team back." If he does I don't think the NBA will let us take Luka from their prized pony Lakers! I hope I'm wrong. 🤷🏾
