  1. Not surprising. Would have always been pushing it. Matt Gelb said closer to april 1 than June 1 the other day though, and sounds like Thomson and the phllies are signaling that as well.

I’ve been saying the over/under should be May 1 and I think i would take the under.

  2. Staff is good enough to stay afloat and let him heal properly for the postseason (finger’s crossed)

  3. I just hope he lives a healthy live post baseball.  Dude gave it his all for this franchise.  Blood clots are very serious

  4. Having him back by the all star break would be extremely valuable if they can have a really competitive record at that point. Earlier is better but as long as he’s close to 100% for the 2nd half of the season, that will be fine (again, depending on what they do in the first half).

  5. Im not optimistic that he’s going to come back to his usual self. The track record of pitchers coming back from TOS surgery is not good. I would’ve signed Ranger as insurance but it is what it is. I don’t see this run back going anywhere anyway. Wasting some good years being just good enough instead of pushing the Dodgers.

  6. Why not sign Walker Buehler for 1 yr? Wheeler coming back from a crazy injury and Nola will continue to be Nola.

  7. Yeah we all already knew that. Get healthy, Wheeler.

Sanchez gets opening day nod, right? After being snubbed for the all star game last year and what he’s given this org I feel like he’s earned it.
