Jerry Jones continues to hint at the Cowboys “busting the budget” in 2026. Here’s what he said recently: “We did some things last year that helped us; really helped us. Busting the budget would have to be going beyond that. You would expect me to take the improvement last year on available assets to have personnel … you would expect me to use every bit of anything that I gave up to get it. What I mean, above and beyond the budget, it would be taken a little bit, if given the opportunity.”

I believe that Jerry wants to do it and is willing to. I do NOT believe he will do the leg work himself. Stephen will tell Jerry that it can’t be done, Jerry will believe him, and he’ll go on television and radio to carry water for his CapBoy son. Probably blame Dak’s contract some more and all the casuals will lap it up.
