  1. I thought they might do something like this. Im actually surprised that more owners dont get involved in their own broadcasts.

  2. Feel like we need more details. I saw a crazy post yesterday about the MLB teams doing this and how fans were going to have to jump through a lot of hoops to avoid blackouts.

  3. Doesn’t change my streaming plans for 2026-27 one bit 🏴‍☠️🏴‍☠️🏴‍☠️

  4. Hate these lol I don’t give a shit who owns what or what the deal is, tell me what channel and what cable/streaming has it. What about the Pistons?

  5. I swear to Christ if this makes watching games in Virginia harder i’m going to crash out with the fury of a thousand suns.

  6. FanDuel crashing and burning.

Maybe that’ll mean the end of Logan Reever and that uncomfortable-looking analyst fellow who shares his “analysis” from his house.

  7. Probably going to be like in chicago, they have what’s called “Chicago sports network” and has some local teams (Hawks, bulls, Sox) and then you’ll need espn for certain national games, etc etc..

  8. hopefully this allows me to ditch satellite completly. The Red Wings are probably about 90 percent of my tv viewing.

  9. I live in TX now and have been watching on ESPN+ for years. Wonder if this is for only in market games…

  10. Ok so I expect, all wings games including playoffs, no blackouts, reasonable price, no bundles cause I don’t care about tigers

  11. Hey guys, Google “onhockey”

All this streaming rights bullshit doesn’t have to be your problem. Recommend using Brave browser to auto block popups but otherwise the viewing experience is far better than every single streaming service or live broadcast anyways.

    You’re welcome.

  12. Just bring back Light the Lamp and Trevor, have all the guys hanging out shooting the shit like they used to do pregame with the LTL picks. Honestly throw in a pregame at Ozzie’s shack every couple of games as well for good measure.

I hope this means better overall production quality for the pregame/desk/intermission, because it has been awful this season compared to last.

  13. Massive undertaking, I hope they can pull it off but this is exactly how it should be.

  14. AZ has been doing something similar with the DBacks and Suns for a bit. And then conveniently, the channel that carries the Suns locally was dropped by YouTube TV 🙃

  15. Do you think as a Canadian I’ll be able to subscribe? The high seas are inconvenient and I don’t really care enough about non wings games to pay to watch them

  16. I’m just happy FD is dead. Fuck them. I hope we never see gambling coverage again.

I’m OOM so I use ESPN+ anyways, so I only benefit from this awful partnership coming to a close.

  17. Dear God just let me have one streaming service to watch every game. Currently using fdsn and the high seas.

  18. Idk why everyone’s complaining. This means 41 of our games are gonna be streamed at one place no? Just have that streaming service and pirate the away games

  19. As an out of state and not-tigers fan, i hope there’s an option for just red wings games.

  20. Good for them, probably the best option available. It’ll be interesting to see how it rolls out but I’d be surprised if it doesn’t end up consistently hosted by ESPN+.

  21. I live in KY. Does this even apply since it’s local? I watch through ESPN+. Is that still my go to?

  22. seeing how many people actually pay hundreds of dollars on 30 different services for permission to watch half the games is astounding

  23. Hey maybe try something that doesn’t black out games for fans outside of Michigan.

Try that for once. See how it goes.
