This is why the Seahawk won the Super Bowl

  1. I mean this means they missed a ton if they only got 1-2 meaningful contributors per draft, doesn’t it?

You could do the same thing for Beane.

Also a lot of those first rounders were in the teens which is much easier to find an impact player than 26+ where the bills picked for the last several years.

  2. I really hope Brandon Beane’s new Joe Schoen doesn’t show him this post 1st thing this morning OR ELSE the boys at WGR 550 better steer clear today! ! !

  3. Russell Wilson trade brought quite a few picks. QB on a fairly friendly contract at around 30 million.

  4. The draft is mostly a crap shoot and you just need one or two really good ones to completely change a team.

  5. Not taking anything away from Seattle, and not excusing picks like Elam, but it should be pointed out that the Seahawks picks were much higher than Buffalo’s in those drafts: 9, 5, 16, and 18th overall, compared to the Bills 23, 25, 28 (traded to 33), and 30, with some extra first and seconds mixed in from the Wilson trade.

  6. Any of these guys could have been busts without a strong organization and good development.

  7. Been saying it for 2+ years now. Beane is mediocre at best when drafting. He’s been living off the JA pick for a decade.

  8. The GM has won two Super Bowls with two 100% completely different rosters. Not one player was on the recent team that was on the first to win it all. also a different coach. The guy is a stud.

  9. I need someone to do this graphic for me Beane… because there aren’t a whole lot of checkmarks.

    2025

Deone Walker. (Maybe he was OK)

Jackson Hawes (maybe, does a 3rd TE even count?)

    2024

    Cole Bishop

    2023

    Dalton Kincaid

    Ocyrus Torrence

    2022

    James Cook

    Terrell Bernard

    Khalil Shakir

    Christian Benford

That is an extraordinarily low hit rate.
